Beijing 2008 Equestrian Events to Be Held in Hong Kong

It was announced on July 8, 2005, that the equestrian events for the 2008 Olympic Games are to be held in Hong Kong because of “uncertainties of equine diseases and major difficulties in establishing a disease-free zone.” The five other venues outside of Beijing will be located in Qingdao, Hong Kong, Tianjin, Shanghai, and Qinhuangdao.
